THE LIFE I IMAGINED

Growing up, my dad and I watched a lot of Westerns together.
Bonanza. The Rifleman. The Wild Wild West. The Lone Ranger. John Wayne.
Sometimes we'd watch a Kung Fu movie, too.
It was our time to get lost in the movies.
There was something about the cowboy that resonated with me—especially the ones wearing the white hat. I liked that the good guys stood for something. They were tough, honest, hardworking, and willing to stand up for what was right.
I started to picture myself in those movies.
I daydreamed about being that cowboy.
Over time, those ideas became more than something I imagined. They became values I wanted to live by.

THE LIFE I LIVE

As the years passed, I eventually became some version of that guy I imagined as a kid.

It’s not like the movies.

And that’s okay.

Today, I still live some of that life, but it looks a little different than it did when I was younger. My days are spread across music, my wine business, working around the property, taking care of the things that need fixing, keeping up with the household, and being there for my family.

Sometimes that means trimming trees or fixing a mower. Sometimes it’s checking in on my parents. Sometimes it’s getting outside and doing the work I’ve always done.

For me, living the Western life isn’t about pretending to be a cowboy.

It’s about living the life God has blessed me with.

Working hard. Enjoying the simple things. Taking care of what matters. Being there for people I love.

The Western way of life is the Good Life.
